A summer like no other!!

Have you ever noticed that every summer has a different attitude about it. Your expecting different things and your just one year older. Oh well my summer really has been like no other I have yet to experience.
You may ask what made this summer so different. Well lets see.....Next school year I am a senior....I have a boyfriend during the summer(never had that happen)....I am working...I can drive myself places....I went somewhere but only for 3 days and it was somewhere I have never been before....I get to be totally independent without leaving the comforts of home....I will not see my Grandparents any this summer.....There are really a lot of things to make it a summer like no other.

With next year being my senior year I have been mentally preparing myself for all the decision I will have to make. Its not easy but at least I know the school I want to go to... Now there is just SAT and ACT. That will be a bundle of joy. But I am taking one step at a time.

Chris and I are really happy to be together.... But summer is so hard to start dating in. But we are making ends met.. I really don't want to say anymore...

Work is good... I am making the big bucks to get certain expenses paid for. I wish I could get a car but it seems senior expenses and a computer come first. I am happy I can see the light at the end of the tunnel on all my financial stuff. But I am enjoying work... My new co-worker is fun and friendly. I am really getting used to the place and my boss. I plan to keep working there till I have to go to college. It pays good and its a nice atmosphere. I love small shops I could not see myself working in a department store or Walmart, eewwww.

This past weekend I went somewhere... Well not just anywhere but Starke FL. It is a really small town...and when I say small I mean small. Its one of those places where you can know everyone in the place....I love that. I went not with my family but with Chris's family, for that is where his parents are from. We left around noon Friday and got back around 9 Sunday night. I saw the movie "Fantastic Four" in a restored theater turned 2 screen movie theater. I met the 3 cousins I have heard so much about. They are so much fun to talk to. Each one has their special interests and they are so much fun to talk to. I fit right on in. Being there reminded me of my Grandparents house. I think I miss my family the most when I came back to my house and there was no one to share about my weekend with. I could have called some one in my family but everyone was busy. But on Saturday I got to see Starke and got to relax. I watched movies and worked on my quilt. It was fun just sitting there acting like a kid and enjoying my summer. I think that is the most I have laughed all summer. But I am home now and have to go on with my summer. The countdown to school is about to start.

I love being independent but there are still things that I like to ask my folks about but they are not here and times where I wish I did not have to make any decisions. But it is a dream and I will never know if it will come true. I hope everyone is having a good summer. I know I am.
