Turkey Day and Reminds of Love
Alright I lied. I said I would write about my trip on Saturday but its Sunday.
I left Tuesday a little over half way through school. Got in the car and went right to Spartanburg. It takes about 10 hours to get up there. I got to drive for about 2 hours of the trip, in the dark. Finished and started a lot of HW stuff. Wednesday was a very busy day. Since our trip was shorter than usual we had to make every moment count. Jessi and I went up to her college to look around. I got to see her dormroom and we talked in the car about stuff that has happened in the time we have not seen each other. Then we ran by the house and picked up mom to go shopping. (Girls always go shopping to spend time together, at least in my family) We got lunch and picked up dad to go see a movie. Then went back to the house to pick up Grandparents to go out to eat. And I think that is everything we did on Wed I don't remember everything. But in this whole time I got to spend time with the people I love and how much they love me right back. Its an awesome feeling to go somewhere and have family and friends around.
Thanksgiving day was the usual family get together. Hop in the car for a long 2 hour drive over to Columbia for lunch. I have no cousins my age on my dad's side. The cousin closest to my age is a 15 yr old guy. So him and his little brother play outside games and stuff. The only girl cousin besides my sister is 9 yrs. She usually plays with the second cousins around her age. So I am usually stuck either playing piano or being babysitter. Yuppers very boring. But it is fun talking to some of the abults. Then a 2 hour car ride back. Me and Jessi stayed up watching movies. That was fun.
Friday, Jessi and I went out shopping again. We were trying to get the sales in the less busy side of town. So I accually went shopping on "black Friday". Then when we got back Grandma wanted us to see about a pair of boots she had. Well that started us looking through the shoes she has kept since before my dad was born, some 50 odd years ago to the present. In us looking at them we helped her get rid of them. Saying they will go to resale. We must have sent at the least 20 pairs to resale, and the scary thing is we're not done sorting them all. Then at noon we drove back home. I got to drive for 2.5 hours.
That was my Thanksgiving holiday. I hope yours was as eventful and mine or even more so. Well its one month till Christmas and the shopping has just begon.
